JULIA VOSS
Julia Voss (b. 1995) is a contemporary painter based in the suburbs of Chicago. Her abstract works are inspired by the organic beauty of rocks and natural elements, capturing their textures, forms, and colors. She uses layered, spontaneous strokes and molding mediums to evoke the essence of nature, while luminous metallic accents add depth and reflect light in interior spaces. Working on stretched canvas, she builds dimension with texture mediums before layering with acrylic and or oil paint. Her artistic practice also explores collages of layered fabrics and oil paint on wood panels, as well as works on paper, including charcoal and oil pastel. Rooted in her passion for interior design and architecture, her work enhances contemporary spaces by inviting a connection with nature.
